After all the planning and research the exciting part begins... the actual build!
1). A reminder of what the space looked like before the building works commenced; kitchen, boiler room and green machine (outside toilet)
2). The inside is stripped out:
3). Our first unforeseen issue - a cracked sewer pipe in the dinning room!
The window will become the walk way to the side return section of the kitchen

The human waste had to be dug out by hand!!!
4). Windows removed and walls taken back to brick
5). The internal walls are removed... its amazing how much bigger the space looks already

6). Footings are dug for the side return and concrete floor laid
7. The steels are installed, the old external wall removed, new external wall built and plumbing done
Our floating house... its amazing what those steels can do!
8. Next stage - utility room is created, first electrical fix, plaster board put on walls and ceilings and side return glass panels installed ... now its really taking shape!
9. Walls and ceilings are plastered. painted first coat and bi-fold doors installed
